The Former Seto Family House is a registered tangible cultural property of Japan built in Wakkanai, the lively front-line base of fishery known as trawlnet fishery, as a residence of a fishing foreman shortly after WWII. After hearing about the history of Wakkanai's fishery from a guide, you will experience the procedure for making Japanese tea in a historic building.Matcha served is prepared with tea leaves cultivated with no agrichemicals; it is easy to drink and not bitter, and can be purchased after the experience.

"Kimono experience" in which you will walk around sightseeing attractions such as "Hokumon-Jinja shrine", the northernmost shrine, "Former Seto residence", a registered tangible cultural property of Japan, and so on, wearing a colorful kimono in the pure white snow scene. By choosing your favorite kimono in advance from the six-colored long-sleeved kimono, you can experience authentic dressing. The winter scenes of intense cold weather will be enhanced by the elegance of the Kimono.
